Sharon

Director: Sharon DeNoyer McGuire

Sharon began dance at the age of 3, under the direction of her mother, Lillian DeNoyer. She is Past-president and Treasurer of the St. Louis Dance Teachers Association, Chapter #21, Dance Masters of America since 1968. Sharon holds a BFA in Education with an emphasis/certification in Dance & Physical Education. She continues to serve on local and national advisory panels for Dance and the Arts. Sharon has served as Ballet Mistress for the St. Louis Civic Ballet, Choreographer for the Jefferson County Arts and Education Council and works with community theater groups and Chambers of Commerce. Many of her students have gone on to professional careers in Dance and the Arts. They can be seen dancing professionally on Broadway, doing choreography for stage and TV, in commercials, teaching and performing in many venues throughout the world. In addition to teaching dance, Sharon manages the business end of DeNoyer Dance and continues the legacy of her mother, Lillian.

Belinda

Belinda Alexander

A National winner in Tap, specializes in Hip Hop, Tap and Jazz with our beginner and intermediate students. Her vibrant personality makes her a favorite of all her students. Growing up in the studio with Mrs. DeNoyer as her mentor, she helps continue the tradition of DeNoyer Dance in both recreational and competitive classes. Belinda is perusing a degree in Elementary Education.

Mike

Mike Alexander

A former National Hip Hop champion teaches Hip Hop to both our recreational and competitive students. Mike has worked in theater and dance for the past 10 years. His musical theater background adds an interesting twist to his Hip Hop choreography. Mike has worked with 107.7 FM, the former Steve & DC show. He was a co-choreographer for Usher & Nelly in the music video “Long Night”. Mike is the proud papa of two pugs, Samurai & Ninja.

Lynette Arnold

Specializes in Musical Theater for all ages of students. She has a fun and interesting approach to the styles of dance necessary for Theater dance. Lynette has worked in Musical Theater and Dance for 8 years.

Melissa Froidl

Has co-directed our pre-school program for the past 20 years. Her years of experience and Art Degree serve her very well with the younger students offering them a wealth of movement experience specializing in Tap & Ballet. Melissa passed her exams for membership to Dance Masters of America and became a member in 1987. She and her husband have three children and two of them enjoy Dance & Musical Theater.

Jamie Griser

Began dance at the age of 7 earning many honors and scholarships to her credit. Her specialties are Lyrical and Ballet for the intermediate and advanced levels. Jamie’s intense and intricate choreography has earned her numerous choreography awards and cash prizes. She imparts a great deal of discipline and love for the art of dance to her students. In addition to teaching dance & setting choreography she continues to work for the Fox Theater in Mid-town St. Louis with marketing and promotion. She has worked as a Regional director for IDC and as a Choreographer for costume models.

Keli Hermes

Comes to us from Carrollton Texas. She specializes in Ballet and Modern. She holds a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from the University of Oklahoma. As a professional dancer with MADCO, Keli is a lead teacher in their education program: “Books In Motion”. At DeNoyer Dance, Keli teaches Ballet & Modern at all levels. We are pleased and excited to have her working with our dance family. Keli’s choreography has won several awards and passed through numerous adjudications for her work.

Janette

Janette Jenkins

Works with the pre-school and intermediate Tap & Ballet students. Her love of dance and life comes across to her students through her approach to teaching. She has made DeNoyer Dance her home for most of her life! Janette is the proud mother of three children, with one following in her dancing footsteps.

Serena Moore

Works with our Jazz program teaching beginning and intermediate students. Serena’s classes are both fun and offer a great opportunity to learn. Serena was an award winner with our DeNoyer Dancers as a student and now concentrates her efforts passing on her knowledge and passion for dance to her students. Serena is perusing a degree in Marketing and Business.

Carrie

Carrie Parker

Former Miss Dance St. Louis and originally a student of Mrs. DeNoyer, Taps her way into the hearts of her students. Her intricate choreography keeps Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop students on their feet and moving. Carrie, a former Champion herself, has choreographed many winning dance numbers at the Regional and National levels. She has two children and both of them love to dance. Carrie is pursuing a Degree in Education.

Kelly Poole

Is a favorite of our preschool students. She has worked with our younger students in Tap & Ballet for the past 6 years. Kelly’s quiet demeanor combined with her knowledge of the skills needed for students to grow and advance in dance makes her very successful. Kelly is perusing a degree in Education. She has "sub-standard" Poodle named Terra and a brown Lab.

Michelle

Michelle Roberts

Was a two-time scholarship winner to Texas Christian University and the Hartford School of Ballet where she became a member of their professional Ballet Company. Michelle returned to her roots to raise a family and came back to DeNoyer to teach intermediate and advanced Ballet and Jazz classes. She teaches Liturgical Dance for her place of worship. Michelle has twins: a boy who enjoys martial arts and a daughter who loves to dance…much like her mother did.

Jackie

Jackie Scalise

Has been with DeNoyer Dance for most of her life. Her love for dance makes her classes fun and interesting as well as challenging. Jackie works with the Tap, Jazz, Poms and Hip Hop classes in the Recreation and Competitive levels. Jackie has many choreography and cash awards to her credit with National wins to her credit too. She too was originally a student of Mrs. DeNoyer and continues to foster the love for dance she learned at an early age. She enjoys spending time with her son, Landon and a Maltese named Roxie.
