Sharon

Owner/Director: Sharon DeNoyer McGuire

Sharon began dance at the age of 3, under the direction of her mother, Lillian DeNoyer. She is Past-president and Treasurer of the St. Louis Dance Teachers Association, Chapter #21, Dance Masters of America since 1968. Sharon holds a BFA in Education with an emphasis/certification in Dance & Physical Education. She continues to serve on local and national advisory panels for Dance and the Arts. Sharon has served as Ballet Mistress for the St. Louis Civic Ballet, Choreographer for the Jefferson County Arts and Education Council and works with community theater groups and Chambers of Commerce. Many of her students have gone on to professional careers in Dance and the Arts. They can be seen dancing professionally on Broadway, doing choreography for stage and TV, in commercials, teaching and performing in many venues throughout the world. In addition to teaching dance, Sharon manages the business end of DeNoyer Dance and continues the legacy of her mother, Lillian.

 

Monica Alunday

Comes to us from Indiana and holds a BFA in Ballet and Performance from the University of Cincinnati. Monica has trained with Butler University, ABT and Alvin Ailey.  She currently performs with MADCO St. Louis.  We are happy to have her on our staff.

Lynette Arnold

Specializes in Musical Theater for students of all ages.. She has a fun and interesting approach to the styles of dance necessary for Theater dance. Lynette has worked in Musical Theater and Dance for 9 years.

Lamon Bibbs

 

Interest in hip-hop began as a teenager well known on the club scene.  He’s now a familiar face throughout St. Louis as performer and choreographer.  His work has been included in an assortment of Trade shows including the Missouri Black Expo and on the platform as guest faculty member for the St. Louis Dancing Teachers’ Association.  Not limited to just hip-hop, LaMon has taken Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Salsa and Swing classes, which combined, have helped to define his own original and award winning hip-hop style.  His honors include a nomination for Headliners World Dance Team, Dance Masters’ of America Top Choreography Awards and Best Precision Award.     

Melissa Froidl

Has co-directed our pre-school program for the past 21 years. Her years of experience and Art Degree serve her very well with the younger students offering them a wealth of movement experience specializing in Tap & Ballet. She has developed and teaches a dance program for Montessori day care centers. Melissa completed her exams for membership to Dance Masters of America.

Keli Hermes

Comes to us from Carrollton, Texas and teaches Ballet and Modern at DeNoyer Dance. She holds a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from the University of Oklahoma. After college, Keli moved to Missouri to dance with MADCO for four years and was a lead teacher in their education program: “Books In Motion”, touring nationally with the company. In 2010 Keli danced with Common Thread Contemporary Dance under the direction of Jennifer Medina. She continues to take class and choreograph regularly. Keli's choreography has won several awards and passed through numerous adjudications. We are pleased and excited to have her working with our dance family.

Tracy LaRose

 

Began dance at the age of 6 with Mrs. DeNoyer and became involved in competition.  She has earned a Bachelor of Scinece in Biology for Rockhurst University and a Masters of Education from Missouri Baptist University.  During the day Tracy teaches science at Fox Middle & High Schools.  She has coached cheerleading for 7 years. Tracy is a favorite in the Fox C-6 Summer Institute teaching dance.  Students taking her class will be taught the “FUN” damentals of Poms. 

Serena Moore

works with our Jazz program teaching beginning and intermediate students. Serena’s classes are both fun and offer a great opportunity to learn. Serena was an award winner with our DeNoyer Dancers as a student and now concentrates her efforts passing on her knowledge and passion for dance to her students.

Carrie Parker

Former Miss Dance St. Louis and originally a student of Mrs. DeNoyer, she dances her way into the hearts of her students. Her intricate choreography keeps Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop students on their feet and moving, both learning and  enjoying her classes..  She and her students have won many awards at the competition level along with cash prizes for her stylistic choreography. 

Kelly Poole

Is a favorite of our preschool students. She has worked with our younger students in Tap & Ballet for  the past 7 years. Kelly’s quiet demeanor combined with her knowledge of the skills needed for students to grow and advance in dance makes her successful.

Jackie

Jackie Scalise

A former student of Mrs. DeNoyer,  has been with DeNoyer Dance for most of her life. Her love for dance makes her classes fun and interesting as well as challenging. Jackie works with the Tap, Jazz, Poms and Hip Hop classes in the Recreation and Competitive levels. Jackie has many choreography and cash awards to her credit with National awards too.

Jen Jones Stuart

 

Began dance at DeNoyer  when she was five years old. She continued to dance at the studio and at Webster University throughout college. Jen sees dance as a form of self expression and has always loved being on stage performing. She is excited to be back with her DeNOYER family teaching lyrical, her favorite style of dance. Jen also teaches yoga around St. Louis and Granite City and conducts training programs for those interested in becoming yoga teachers.

Jackki Taylor

Specializes in Hip Hop and dance tricks, graduated from Webster University.  She has done choreography for UDA, Fontbonne University and SEMO.  Her performance credits include Onstage Central on UPN and a back up dancer for Hip Hop artist Nelly.

Nikki Thompson

 

Has a wealth of dance experience beginning at an early age with tap being her all-time favorite.  In her teens, Nikki’s interest in swing dance brought her additional championships.  As a certified Zumba instructor, Nikki’s classes reflect her extensive experience in dance and prove to be fun and rewarding on all levels.
